The Ingram pick at the time was good. We needed a RB

Yeah bc its not like really good backs weren't available in the 3rd and 4th rds. RBs with an elite skill set have NO business going in RD 1

Running backs are a dime a dozen... and they typically don't last very long. Ingram was no Peterson or McFadden. It was a very bad draft pick.

Don't blame Mickey Loomis. He's a football guru.

I can't help but slightly take up for Ingram, he has potential, just not in the Saints type of offense, he's not getting the carries/reps he needs to develop the run game is not gear around just him. Look at Reggie Bush, heads to Miami and he's significantly more productive being an every down back.

frick that. Reggie actually did stuff here. Ingram doesn't do shite. Are we really to believe that all he needs is 15 carries that go for 2 yards a pop then once he crosses that magically barrier he's gonna start taking the rest the distance?

I'm just saying, it takes a little different type of back to succeed in the Saints O

He probably could do better in a different system but if he were any good he could do something in any system.
