That defensive rank of ours seems legit though.

8th ranked offense.

We've never finished lower than 6th during Payton's tenure.

Here is a look at the Saints' total offensive yards rankings during the current Payton/Brees regime:

2006 - 1st

2007 - 4th

2008 - 1st

2009 - 1st

2010 - 6th

2011 - 1st

2012 - 2nd

2013 - 4th

2014 - 1st

As seen in these rankings, the Saints have been ranked in the top five in total offense for 8 of the past 9 years, the lone exception being their sixth overall ranking during the 2010 season.  No team has come close to achieving such success on offense during this timeframe.

When you look at who they have ranked ahead of us, I can't blame them for being ranked that low. I don't see how Seattle will be ranked ahead of us, but there is a legitimate arguments for the other 6. I think we finish 3rd or 4th depending on injuries. I believe Indy & Philly will have the 2 best offenses. I think Denver & GB take a step back this year. And, I believe NE & Dal will be in the mix w/ us for the 3-5 spots(I do not expect Brady to miss more than the opened against Jax).

Philly will disappoint. WE WILL be top 3. Possibly number 1.
