Ellerbe may literally be the most injury prone player I've ever seen

They're just being cautious, not worried.

4. Encouraging stat of the week

The Saints have never lost a Week 1 home opener in the Sean Payton era going 4-0 in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. The wins occurred in 2008 (Bucs, 24-20), 2009 (Lions, 45-27) 2010 (Vikings, 14-9) and 2013 (Falcons, 23-17). New Orleans lost to Washington at home in Week 1 in 2012, but Payton was serving his season-long suspension. Payton is 5-4 in Week 1 games overall.

Nah, Ellerbe has actually produced when on the field

For the record I think Robertson could end up one of the most pleasant surprises this year. Possible Fujita kinda potential IMO

Agreed on Robertson suprising people. The guy can cover sideline to sideline like Thomas Davis(ok not quite that good) he will be on the field every 3rd down probably replacing JL.

Why would we cut him with the deal he's on?

If you read the article, it says he's set to get a big number of snaps against Oakland and his injury is "day to day".
