Eagles put LB Mychal Kendricks on the trading block.

Obviously the Eagles are trying to package him with a 2nd rounder for Cooks. Kendricks is a tackling machine but can't cover very well and didn't play much last year so the Saints probably don't want him in a trade for Cooks.
But what if the Eagles only want a 4th or 5th round pick for Kendricks? Do the Saints make a move if it's just for a 5th round pick? Doesn't seem bad. Let's hope the Saints don't bite on a Kendricks in a deal for Cooks, though.

if he has any value and we won't deal them cooks, i doubt they do us a favor and trade us kendricks. they'll deal him elsewhere

I'm sure the Saints will trade Cooks for less than he's worth. They'd probably bite on this deal.

for the right price we can use just about any defensive player. Just noting the Saints have no 5th Rder this year (traded to get Onyemata).

If I'm the Saints, I tell Philadelphia to stop wasting my time and next time they offer a deal without their 1st rounder, they're officially out of the deal.

Wouldn't mind that at all. Get two top 15 picks and a starting LB. I really hope we don't bite on a deal that just gives us another 1st. I think there's more value to be had.

Kendricks has very little value. Also, we do not have a 5th.

Kendricks is in a system not fitted for his skills right now. A year ago he was one of the top young linebackers in the game. I'd take a flyer on him
