Well we won't draft Pocic, for obvious reason.

I like that man. We need to bring in some guys who can help out on special teams too.

wouldn't mind Teddy Ginn either.

Lol no. Foster never lost his starting job during his junior or senior seasons.

He might not be IQ smart but he's football smart. He's a lethal tackler and has way better instincts that Anthony did. He's also much better at getting off blocks and can actually cover.!

I agree he should be Sam LB just to let him find the football and destroy. But never compare him to Anthony. They aren't even in the same stratosphere

He played with an entire front 7 that will be in the NFL. They covered a lot of stuff and it allowed him to play more freely than he would've been able to at any other school. I'd rather Cunningham from Vandy if we're looking for a 3 down Mike.

Whaaaat

You mean LSU-ALA? This is the Saints talk. I want the best players regardless of school. Hence why you don't see me saying Jonathan Allen overrated or Myles Garrett. I just think Reuben would be a big risk considering the rumors about his lack of football intelligence. While I do think he has instinct and great athleticism, I worry that he won't be able to be field general in the NFL. If we're going to take a Mike I want a field general.

going out on a big limb there considering neither will fall to the saints

where are you seeing those rumors? His classroom intelligence can rightly be questioned, no one is paying him to go to school anymore though ;)

Pat Willis scored a 12 on the wonderlic, good thing the saints didn't draft him amirite

Hasn't it been established that he couldn't get on the field earlier because of his football IQ?

Also, just earlier on the SECR I dismissed the wonderlic as something to look at. I really don't care what they score on that.

did BigBrod tell you that? He was behind 2 and 3 year starters in Reggie Ragland and Trey Depreist as a sophomore. That's how it goes at bama sometimes, don't be surprised if Dashawn Hand is a first round pick next year as a 1 year starter.

Should we downgrade Kendall Beckwith because he couldn't beat our DJ Welter?

It's what I've seen/read. From what I understand, DePriest was a liability from an athletic standpoint but was necessary because Foster wasn't up to speed in terms of scheme/technique.

I'd love to be freed of that narrative because Foster is truly a freak of nature.

Beckwith was a DE as a freshman and stole Welter's job during the Auburn game as a sophomore. John Chavis is a retard. No where near the same thing.

he struggled early, most of them do, Mosley is really the only one that got the scheme down early. Hightower and McClain played early but that was due to a shite roster. It's not the easiest scheme to pick up. That said there are bama defenders in the league right now that will tell you they had more variables in the defense at Alabama (at least under smart) than they do in the NFL

basically saban isn't going to put a great athlete on the field that understands 75% of the scheme when he can put a good athlete on the field that understands 100% of the scheme.

So you think he can be a day one/very early starter in the NFL without bias?

No question about it, as does most everyone that isn't biased one way or another...

I mean there are tons of guys that don't start early in their college career that start as NFL rookies, pretty silly to knock Foster for that. Few if any defensive schemes in college are as complex as Alabama's and there isn't one that's better micromanaged, the linebackers Saban has sent to the league from Alabama have performed at a very high level
