While Brees downplayed inquiries about his shoulder:
1. He barely moved right arm during his presser
2. He carried nap sack with left arm

Mike Triplett, ESPN Staff Writer

NEW ORLEANS -- Drew Brees acknowledged that his shoulder was affected Sunday by a big hit he took early in the New Orleans Saints' 26-19 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers -- though he said he "absolutely" never considered leaving the game and isn't too concerned going forward.

The shoulder wasn't being iced or wrapped in the locker room after the game or during Brees' postgame interview session.

"That's the season. Everybody's dealing with something. ... Just gotta get a little stronger, that's all," said Brees, who was hit repeatedly throughout Sunday's loss.

Brees said the shoulder was especially affected on a few deep throws that "didn't come out really well," including an underthrown interception early in the third quarter.

The wobbly balls are uncharacteristic for him and suggested injury. Throwing behind or below, bad day. Wobbles and weak throws, injury.

Playing behind that O-line he will be lucky to survive the season!!

Reminded me of the early days when Archie Manning was running for his life on nearly every pass play.

Very ugly and very sad. A team that just a few short years ago averaged 29 points per game is not averaging (over the last 2 years) only 19 per game.

Why....sorry line play.

We've been asking for a new oline for 3 years now. He's been hit more than any other sea on is his career each of the last 2 seasons. This isn't a surprise.

Brees was off well before that hit happened. He looked off all game, and if he wasn't going to be able to make accurate throws, he needed to be on the bench staying healthy not risking further injury and throwing up ducks.
