I just looked up the guys who played with Brees here and ran some numbers. I think I got everyone but may have missed some minor guys that I can't remember.

average game statline with Brees (without Brees)
Lance Moore - 3 recs, 43 yards, 0.4 TDs (1 recs, 19 yards, 0.2 TDs)
David Patten - 3 recs, 45 yards, 0.2 TDs (2 recs, 30 yards, 0.15 TDs)
David Thomas - 3 recs, 14 yards, 0.15 TDs (0.6 recs, 8 yards, 0.03 TDs)
Robert Meachem - 2 recs, 31 yards, 0.3 TDs (0.6 recs, 8 yards, 0.13 TDs)
Kenny Stills - 3 recs, 51 yards, 0.3 TDs (2 recs, 36 yards, 0.4 TDs)
Jimmy Graham - 5 recs, 61 yards, 0.65 TDs (4 recs, 57 yards, 0.3 TDs)
Terrence Copper - 1 rec, 15 yards, 0.14 TDs (0.5 recs, 6 yards, 0.01 TDs)
Billy Miller - 2 recs, 25 yards, 0.1 TDs (1.5 recs, 16 yards, 0.1 TDs)
John Phillips - 0.7 recs, 5 yards, 0 TDs (0.4 recs, 3 yards, 0.05 TDs)
Michael Hooman. - 1 rec, 6 yards , 0.25 TDs (0.6 rec, 8 yards, 0.07 TDs)
Coby Fleener - 3.1 recs, 39 yards, 0.2 TDs (3 recs, 36 yards, 0.28 TDs)
Eric Johnson - 3.4 recs, 27 yds, 0.14 TDs (3.3 recs, 32 yards, 0.12 TDs)
Mark Campbell - 1.3 recs, 12.4 yds, 0.1 TDs (1.3 recs, 12.1 yds, 0.11 TDs)
Joe Horn - 3.7 recs, 68 yards, 0.4 TDs (3.7 recs, 53 yards, 0.35 TDs)

Sorry for the random topic, but I saw people mentioning it in some other threads and just figured I am bored and wanted to look it up.

None of these receivers went to the Patriots to play with Tom Brady. The Patriots will be happy if Cooks does as good for NE as he did for NO.

I think Cooks could put up similar numbers there but no way will he be a true #1 with Gronk and edelman there

This Mark Campbell guy did pretty well for himself. I wonder how Cooks can measure up

Cooks runs a 4.3. He will kill with the Patriots. The Saints didn't get enough in return. This trade sucks.

Boohoo. The Saints really traded this guy bc of a shouting match?! Maybe a team that has been mediocre 3 straight yrs NEEDS more shouting matches.

Actually, they just need more talent, which they will get using the 1st round pick they just flipped a #2 receiver for.

I got the saints have an offense that makes Cooks expendable but calling him a No. 2 is petty and a bit ignorant
