Dude just ripped the Saints victory to shreds in his commentary on Fox 8.

I doubt seriously that "The" Jim Henderson hates the Saints. Care to elaborate for us out-of-towners what he said specifically that gave you such an impression?

Yes he absolutely despises the Saints. Can you not hear the anger and distaste in his voice after Hartely's FG, Porter's Pick 6, etc.?

C'mon man! You could at least post what he said.

I've honestly never cared for him. Always came across as a smug prick. That said, I doubt he hates the sports team that helped him earn a healthy living.

If he posted here though, he would be deemed a NegaSaint.

no, but i have a sense just by following his work, that someone the last few years has pissed him off. Whether it is Benson, Sean Payton, Loomis, or just the overall direction the program has trended, he hasnt really held back his disappointment at times. He doesnt always say it directly, but his tone is definitely different then it was even 6-7 years ago

I started a thread about how fricking crabby and unenthusiastic he's been lately.

He's a shell of his former self - not sure what happened

ETA - Exactly what Lester Earl says. Henderson used to get so excited about the Saints - compare his calls from 2000 or 2009 to yesterday's game. He is about 1/100th as excited about the Saints as he used to be.

I listened to the call against the Chiefs . He sounded like he was calling a funeral . zero enthusiasm the whole damn game

I think he's indifferent on whether the Saints win or lose now. He's seen the Superbowl victory that we all thought would never happen and is content. I know I don't take losses as hard as I did before the SB win.

I wish I would have heard the commentary. Sometimes a good healthy dose of reality is good.

Here's the link
It's not praising the Saints but it's not really about the Saints.

Thanks. You are right. It was more about Seattle losing than the Saints winning.

No he's just being realistic about this team. He was the first to say they weren't going to the playoffs two seasons ago and a bunch of fans gave him shite

That's was painful to listen to. Something happened between him and the Saints. Feel like I was just stabbed in the back

I doubt he hates them but I can tell a difference in his tone during the games. Even other guys I work with have made comments about it and they aren't necessarily big Saints fans.

WWL's coverage is picked up where I live (Mobile) each week. I think it could be he isn't trying to be as homerish as he once was?? I don't know. Maybe he wasn't before I just can't put my finger on it. But its pretty clear to me his calls have changed.

not for the worse or the better cause I aint judging him but its just different.

One of my best friends was waiting at an airplane terminal that was dealing with a few delays last summer. He said he was pulling the "do you know who I am?" line, etc and in general was a douche.
