If so, why? They simple make noise, and offer no energy to the game.

Full disclosure: I'm on the drumline.
What do you propose we do? We get one minute to play every game, during the 2-minute warning, which is typically a "down" time.
We sound bad in the dome, I agree. It has more to do with acoustics of the dome (they mic us) than what we sound like.
If you've wet caught us outside, you'd know we don't sound bad and we bring it every time.

It is boring. Nothing more, nothing less. Has nothing to do with how you sound, but would rather see highlights from around the league, for example.
