equivalent to the Vilma or Shockey trade

Vilma + #118 cost #76 + #113, 278 draft points
Shockey cost #45 + #151, 481 draft points

That would equate to the Saints trading #58 and get a 4th Rder back to trading away the 2nd, 3rd, & 4th Rders for one guy. Pretty big trade if ya ask me. Don't see it. With a particularly deep draft class it's a year to accumulate not trade picks away.

Perhaps not a big name but something equivalent to the Vilma or Shockey trade. I know we don't have a lot of money but I just get the feeling that we're gonna be making a trade sooner or later. Anyone else?

As much as I love Brees, throw in a first rounder with Luck and I'm not sure I wouldn't take that deal

I know it's a hypothetical, but I am pretty sure you could offer Indy Drew and 2 1sts or more for Luck and you would get an immediate no. I doubt they would trade him for anything realisic. He is pretty much guaranteed success for the next 15 years. Not much of anything worth that.

yeah if they are smart they would say no... but you never know with Jim Irsay. package a bottle of scotch and he starts tweeting like he did for trent richardson, then you know his panties are getting wet. throw in the 2 customized glasses and a fifth of jim bean = sold.

It's a long list of talented or even star players whose careers were cut short

Bo Jackson, Greg Cook, Kenny Easley, Sterling Sharpe, etc
