Did Manning get pushed in the back on the pick 6?

I didn't notice it as we jumping up and down and hollering during the Porter TD return.

But after watching the highlights, it appears the #91 for the Saints pushed Manning in the back on the INT return. Too close to call for me.

Even if he did, you don't call that. Manning took himself out of the play anyway

yes, without a doubt....but it had zero impact on the play as Manning already ran past Porter and was looking for a soft place to fall.

He did, but the refs were pretty consistent the whole night with letting the teams just play football. A penalty on something like that always pisses me off. Kudos to the refs for letting this game be a physical game and not nit-picking every little thing.

Arrakis would have called that at the drop of a hat.

Regardless, it was a close call IMO.
I don't know if Manning could have tackled Porter as Porter was running fast past Manning but I agree what it would have been a touchy call if the reffs would have called the penalty

Great no call.
Great Saints break.
The no call did not determine the outcome of the game.

Saints win! This is what matters.

They probably did, but glad it wasn't called.

Exactly, and if we want to get picky. I think on the first drive Fujita would have had a sack, the holding on that play was pretty blatant.

Given that Porter stepped back in towards the middle of the field and Manning overran him, doesn't matter if Smith touched his back or not. Would have been a case of Peyton turning his back to the play, not being forced down from the backside of the play.

That said, god damn, another thread on this?

Smith blocked him on the shoulder not back. Block or no block Manning wouldn't have made the play anyway.
