This team is not up to par because of the loss of those damn draft picks that Lord Dickhead took away from us!

it has been crippling, but not the entire reason.

Blessing in disguise.
Look what we did with last year's second rounder...

affects
Should be "effects". "Affects" of the draft would be like a feeling you got from it, not the result of not having the draft picks or choosing poorly as you intended (I think).

I think effect vs affect is pretty easy if im right
"affect" is only used as a verb. "Spot affected the ball."
"effect" is way more common cuz its a noun, adjective, and adverb I guess.
"The effects on Spot were clear."
"Spot is effective(effected)."
"Spot works effectively."

Should be effects. But it's a pretty common mistake.

I hate Goodell. But Truth is all that did was spare us a few bad draft choices

I note that lots of fellow Saints fans share this exact opinion: that the loss of the two 2d round picks is not important because the franchise drafts busts anyway.
If this is an accurate assessment of the situation, then the franchise has no hope to sustain the winning ways.
The best NFL franchises draft well, period. If the Saints can't learn to draft well, they will fall back to the losing ways of yesteryear, period.

Agreed. Our recent drafts have been poor. I loved Vaccarro last year, but seeing him get benched makes me lose all faith in our drafting ability. If he can't keep a starting spot and our 5th safety has to come in for him, he is well on his way to being a bust. Cooks worries me as well because my concern with him was injury, and hes already had a season ending injury. None of our lower round players have shown anything either or they have regressed this year. It's not a good place to be where we are right now

Yep, clearly those loss of draft picks are the reason for poor tackling, dropped passes, lack of a consistent pass rush and an Oline that can't block for the run game.
Pretty sure it's Obama's fault too. Why not?

But affect can be a noun, meaning emotion or the expression on one's face.
Effect can be a verb, like "to effect a change."

2 second rounders is a really big deal. We coulda got a lot of qualityass players.
coulda got Alshon Jeffrey. Wed have a real number 1
coulda got lavonte david, kiko alonso or bobby wagner.
Goodell is a yellow bellied crook. Ill hate him forever.

dropped passes,
Another WR couldn't help there?

They can run block just fine. They can't pass block. Maybe we draft a C or G with one of those picks

lack of a consistent pass rush
Or maybe a DLineman
Your post is bad and you should feel bad

I've been wondering which players were drafted with the two second-round picks that should have been ours those years.
Anyone know? Of course, the Saints most likely would have picked other players (depending on need, depth, etc), but it would be interesting.
