I just read about Mike singletary trying to make a comeback. I don't see Dennis Allen as the solution. I am curious to see who everyone would like to see take over as Defensive coordinator next year. Who ya got?

I'd personally like Pagano. Even though his track record in Indy is not great I'm thinking he'd just be better off as a Coordinator.

Ed Donatell Who is the Bears DB coach. We tried to get him before Ryan I believe but SF blocked us from interviewing him.

If you don't see Dennis Allen as the solution, then you obviously don't understand Payton yet. Allen is one of his boys. He will improve the defense ever so slightly and get the job full time next year. He is in the same boat as McMahon, Vitt and Johnson. Anyone who thinks otherwise just has their head in the sand.

I'm just curious. Pete Carmichael is also one of Payton's boys aka one of the Saints' good ole boys. But he always gets a pass unlike the rest. Should he?

I'd take either Mike Pettine or Jim Tomsula if either gets fired at the end of the year.

Mel Tucker is available.

Rod Marinelli might be worth a look if they clean house in Dallas.

I don't think I'd hate Mike Singletary though.

Saints need to hire Jim Schwartz ASAP!

he may have been a failed head coach but he had Buffalo's defense rolling! I think it would be a phenomenal hire

I can get behind this. But unfortunately Allen is the man.

That Bears defense was so bad last year.

Forgot about him. Emmitt Thomas may also be worth a look.

But yeah, I think we all expected Allen to be the DC when he was originally brought in. Why would we expect anything different now.

Im going under the premise that he is not coming back.

Also, its very possible Sean Payton could take another job as well. If thats the case he DA is definetly not coming back.

I wish it was a open competition but I think you may be right.

Wish we could get Vic Fangio

Hell, if Jim Tomsula gets fired, go after him

He is with the Bears...doubt they let him make a lateral move. Only way we get him is as a head coach

Not the same in any universe. Not 001% of a similarity.

You have question marks about the architect of a top 5 offense of all time?

Since i believe we have better fits for a 3-4 defense id say
Vic Fangio
Dom Capers
But i wouldnt be mad about Schwartz if we went another direction

I don't think anyone really look sat him bc he doesn't make the calls and is not a position coach. So, outside of assisting w/ the weekly preparation he is nothing more than SP's personal assistant on game day.
