Injuries to secondary is the biggest issue right now, we are working with 3/4 teamers and undrafted free agents at corner

That's what I've been screaming man. I think letting meachem go wasn't terrible, but letting Porter walk is killing us right now. We're slots going to be forced to draft another corner soon

Robinson needs to step up. He is a 1st round draft choice in his 3rd season. Patrick needs to get healthy and White is being thrown into the fire too soon. We have a secondary that resembles a rebuilding team. Young talent at corner with one wily vet to teach them. An average big name small result Safety. And a mentally retarded SS that hit the jackpot when Loomis made one of a very few signing mistakes so now we are stuck with him. We need a ton of help on Defense.

Porters been an injury problem since 09, and lost playing time that year too. I have no issue with letting him walk. He missed most of last season.
To me, Malcolm Jenkins has not taken the next step to be an elite safety, despite showing flashes. I think he spends too much time in his own head and not on the play as its happening. I say move him back to corner. Robinson is going to be a serviceable corner. Jury is still out on Patrick.
Really though, it doesn't matter who we have at DB if we continue to get no pressure on the QB. Our D-line is making a lot of money to do nothing. Jordan is playing much better this season. I kinda wish Will Smith was suspended, so Junior Gallette would get some more playing time and we could see if the flashes he has shown will translate every down.
The biggest difference between last season and 09? Turnovers and QB pressure. We gave up almost identical yards, but we were able to get to the QB and cause turnovers in 09.
And really, with as bad as our defense played last season, are you surprised at the way they have played this season?
