Based off of his write up on Anthony, I don't find this guy to be credible.

Most of these sports writers have watched about 25% of Anthony's snaps at best and make their decision based on that(they can't watch every single NFL game). People on this site have seen every play. We don't really need the opinion of our own players from national sports guys.

I agree with their assessment of Anthony as well and echo your remarks about him adjusting. The speed of the game is a huge adjustment from college to NFL. Poor angles and badnjudgments are just a side effect of that. Being the mike means he is thinking about where others need to be in addition to himself. He'll make the grade, he reminds me of a young Vilma to be honest.

Shelton has been ok for a rookie.

Although 1 QB hurry, 0 hits, and 0 sacks in 4 games from a guy you expect to be a force in the pass rush game is a bit disappointing.
But Christ, these guys really could allow players to develop a bit.
I mean, 4 games?

Exactly. Some guys don't do anything for 2 years and then turn into a legit starter in year 3. It happens all the time.

Agreed. Sounds like the guy hasn't watched the Saints all year. He probably just looked at the stats and PFF, and pulled a conclusion out of his arse. Great journalism right there...

He said Anthony has been missing tackles left and right. Has that honestly been your assessment of his play so far this season?

He leads the team with 5 missed tackles but also has 12 stops.

I don't think 1 missed tackle a game is terrible for a rookie MLB 4 games in

Really, the concept of the article is just kind of stupid. It's 4 games into these players careers. It would be an exceedingly rare thing for Anthony or any of these players to already be pro bowl calibre. That they are making rookie mistakes doesn't make them disappointing.

Anthony will take a bad angle here and there, but he's been really good for a rookie. He does need to work on his coverage, but 4 games into the season, I really like him as a player.

That being said, we loved Malcolm Jenkins his first year and hated him his last year. So, we will see.
