in b4 tl:dr
Went to go get a corned beef and pastrami sandwich. At Carnegie Deli, they sit you down at tables with other people cafeteria style. My wife shoots straight to the bathroom, so I start chatting up the couple next to us. Guy was wearing a Lions shirt, so I asked him if he was from Detroit, he says" just moved there" blah blah blah, turns out he is their special teams coordinator. We start talking football, and he finds out I am a Saints fan, and his eyes lit up. turns out he was our ST coordinator in 06-07 and 11. He then takes his phone out and starts showing me all kinds of behind the scenes type pictures. Coolest photo he showed me was from 06 training camp, and its a pic of Gleason blocking a Weaherford punt in practice. He then told me, "That was the moment we knew that play might work against the Falcons in week 1". Turns out he is one of Gleason's best friends, so we sat there and shared Gleason stories, and other stories about the Saints.
He and his wife talked about how they have been all over the country, coaching in Jax, GB, Detroit, and Miami, and obviously been to every NFL city, but that when he decides to hang it up, that NOLA is where he wants to retire. Said the people and the city have a soul like no other place he has been.
He ended our conversation telling me that he is in close contact with Sean Payton, and thet he is constantly bouncing plays off of him, and that the NFL will not be ready for his offense this year, and that he was really glad they aren't playing us.

Hijack
-NS, who are all those email addys in the league invite? Didn't recognize any. Also, didn't see a thread here about the league. I guess you just sent everyone an invite without a heads up thread here?
