If not, what are the pieces they are missing? Can they acquire them before Brees is done so that we can make one final run at the ring before he retires?

I personally think we are another off season like we just had away from one.

I think we will make the playoffs, but we just have so many new pieces that wont have long to gell together as a team. It all depends on how the defense performs. I still think we need an additional pass rusher and some more interior D-Line help.

However, I do think we have improved enough to be 9-7 or 10-6, but again it depends on our defense which no longer has any excuses, they have the talent.

Yes, and so could 31 teams. That is what makes the NFL so good.

We do best when the pressure to win is off.

After a 3-13 2005 record, the 2006 Saints went 10-6 and earned a trip to the NFC Championship game. Then the saints went 7-9, and 8-8 in the following 2 seasons before winning it all in 2009.

Who knows, anything is possible.

Could: yes
Will: IDK. If the O-line overhaul worked and the O-line was the cause of Drew's decline (like I suspect), if the defense resembles 2013 and not 2014, if we replace Graham''s production and finally get a clutch kicker again. Then yes if we don't solve those issues then no

Let's make the playoffs or win our division first.

The team is changing from an offensive team that is on Brees' back to a defensive team with a running game. (a la Denver Broncos in Elway's last few years) I think it takes another year or two before we make a Super Bowl run. But I expect improvement this year for starters.

They are making the right moves and filling in the holes to where possibly next year they can make a legitimate deep run. Still missing a few pieces but have A LOT of promising young talent that needs experience. Like they said I think 10-6 and winning the division is possible. However, I don't think we get past the division round this year.

All it takes is one good Summer and we have the pieces, so yes.

I think you could have said the Patriots had a lot of questionable areas going into the season last year. You just never know how a season will turn out.

No. We are too young on defense and will need at least a year with the current pieces plus 1 or 2 more for everything to come together. O-line should be solid, and if not we can address the weakspots next off season along with another WR.

Biggest problem though in all honesty why we can't make a super bowl run is the fact that our conference is way too good. We are way behind at least 4-5 others teams at the moment.

Seattle would need to have some pretty significant injuries down the stretch, IMO, for us to make the SB. They are still the team to beat, especially at home. Not to mention 3-4 other NFC teams that we would need to keep pace with.

If we can somehow get the 1st seed, then yes, we could make a run. I'm thinking we can win the division, but will it be enough to give us home field advantage? Probabaly not this year.

Let's think back to what everyone felt after we added some other guy to the secondary last year.

If we catch a few breaks and some of our acquisitions play well, sure. Anything can happen.
