Prolly just a jersey they had available for the shoot. Doubt that Nike has made any rookie jerseys yet.

That collar looks nice. Wish the Saints would have kept the striping from the throwbacks. The modern day uniform are just plain.

That Peterson jersey looks fine, now if they can get the gold color of it right they will have something. But glad they are getting rid of those collar looking jerseys because they looked like the players were all wearing those old school neck pads from the '60's. Lol LINK

reggie bush wore 5 for his rookie card so i wouldnt put too much stock into this

Nope, a number of other rookies were wearing the updated template without the horrible collar.
But a bunch of other teams still had the old jerseys, so it may be a factor of what the team sent the player with.

That tells us nothing. Practice jerseys have always had full collar.
