Is Fleener the next wasted free agent signing?

It seems like it has been like 5 years in a row of our biggest free agent acquisition being a complete bust.

Damn. Oh well, good luck to him. His time with the Saints was brief and mostly uneventful, except for that one huge play to beat the Cowboys last year in OT.

Why not trade him though? Trade him straight up for a cornerback or defensive lineman.

What in the holy hell. How much dead $ did we just eat? Why they like Cadet so much more is mind boggling. Spiller looked very good in preseason. Even if to return kicks.

That money will be absorbed this year in Brees restructure. Still fricking ridiculous.

A lot of moves this organization is making are head-scratchers. Someone said the Saints are in desperation mode, and I fully believe it.

How does the front office/talent evaluators grade over the last 5 years? I'm giving a D- and that may be fricking generous.

You rantards really think we weren't shopping him? Nobody wants the dude for that price. He'll be a free agent pickup and add depth to someone's roster. He's not that good, we need the roster spot. Relax, Cadet better than him this point in his career

To be fair, he did make it out of his first training camp and into the first regular season game. That's something that Spiller and Byrd can't say.
