Champions Square Pregame Question

Noticed someone that had a case of beer with them at Champions Square last week.
Was this "snuck" in or are you able to carry one into the square? I've only carried my drink over with me from the tailgate. I think it would beat the hell out of paying $6 for a can of beer from the vendor.
Taking a friend to his first saints game and if the weather is decent was going to take him to the square before the game.

You can bring one beer on the ramp/down to champion square. They just won't let you bring an ice chest of beer down there
