I think the Saints screwed up putting Penning out there with only 8 games of experience. He was a second-year player on paper but still a rookie reps wise.

and we saw it.

in that 1st half against the Titans, he gave a few sacks. In the second half they used TE's and Jamaal Williams to help chip and it worked but just barely. There was one TD scored in that game and we got it. Thank Christ.

I generally don’t love senior edge rushers with limited athletic upside like him.

The miss rate and the hit rate are probably about the same.

Haven’t seen any numbers on his, testing wise

Good size and technique though, and I loved his confidence in senior bowl interviews. Not to mention he was owning everyone there as well

Sure but with some of them you wonder why didn’t they come out early, not like he was a late bloomer
