Any chance of us getting on a winning streak and getting on a roll similar to what we did in 2011 wining 8 straight to close out the season. I personally don't see it, we just don't seem to have the explosiveness on offense that we once had. The O line is not nearly as good as it was then and we are not as explosive on the perimeter. Guys like Meachem and Colston are getting long in the tooth and while Stills had a good game yesterday he has been very inconsistent. I also don't feel like we are using Brandon Cooks properly. Defense seems to be improving a little but still lacks that edge and intensity it had a year ago. Saw a little more of it yesterday hopefully they can keep it up.

The only thing is our division is absolutely awful.

Someone could win it at 8-8 or 9-7.

But no, we aren't going to do it.

no, no team has ever come back from a game behind with only ten games left to play

Well we are 0-4 on the road and 2-0 at home. We'd need to win the rest of our road games (@TB, @CAR, @CHI, and @PITT) and all of our home games which isn't going to be an easy task. Now that's a different story if Carolina keeps losing, in which case all we need to do is win our divisional games. I still don't see any team in the NFC South going anywhere though. Worst division in football by far.

The only positive I can think of is winning the division at say 7-9 or even 6-10, getting the Seahawks at home, and exacting sweet sweet revenge on their arse.

Otherwise I'd rather the draft position.

if we can stay healthy we can have a chance. its def possible for us to split those road games and continue to win at home.

10-6 usually gets in.

easily, we're all pretty much sitting here at the same record, only we're losing in the closing seconds and Atlanta and Carolina are getting their asses handed to them every week

Sean Payton has been outcoached almost every single week, he needs to get it turned around and stop making these bone headed decisions that cost us games...no reason that ball should even be in the air after we went up 13 points...we should've been up even more. The penalty on the reverse was bullshite, but penalties get called on those plays more than others, why isn't he just lining it up and pounding it when that was working quite well at that point in time?

The guy is a fricking loon, and he's been in a slump with decision making ever since the middle of last season

I was excited about the possibility of a really loud crowd Sunday Night coming off a big win against the Lions to take the lead in the division, but after that tough loss not sure the crowd will be that into the game.

probably going to be a ton of Packers fans there - they always travel well and their team has turned it on while ours has shat the bed repeatedly. Prices for this game are as low as they've been since the schedule was released now.

I disagree with this in the context of the Detroit game. I feel that he did his best coaching this year on Sunday, which to me is improvement. In regards to passing when we had the lead - we still needed 1st downs to close out the game. We hadn't been able to run the ball effectively all game, what makes you think they would have had different results at the end when they are expecting a run? And in hindsight, if we had run the ball Detroit would have closed the game out with a TD and we wouldn't have had a chance to get the ball back at all. So all in all, I don't recall too many "what is he thinking" moments in regards to coaching for me.

We were winning 3 games lateish in the 4th quarter on the road. We could easily be having a good year, but we aren't. Sometimes you don't get the breaks. I don't think we're great but I think we could finish decently.

Well as disappointing as this season has been. I still feel like we are the best team in the nfc south although that is not saying much. If you look at it we have lost 3 games by a combined 6 points. Only once have we been beaten soundly. Whereas Atlanta and Carolina are constantly getting hammered.

If they don't even have the mental fortitude to brush themselves off and recover from the Golden Tate touchdown, spin around and close the fricker out, then turning an entire damaged season around seems like a bridge too far.
