I'd rather go younger than get another guy in his mid-30's. Ladarius Green would be an more interesting signing (obviously more expensive but could be a star here).

I want Jared Cook. He should be cheaper than Green and he is just as athletic. People will say he didn't live up to his potential but did Watson prior to this year. I think Brees can make him a weapon for us

I like Jared Cook. He's never had much of a chance in the systems he's been in.

Zach Miller from the Bears is an interesting idea IMO.

don't know a lot about Cook except that he's played on a shitty run heavy offense for the Rams.

I like Ladarius Green that would the ideal pickup.

Fleener... hell to the naw to the naw naw naw

Here’s how Grantland (R.I.P.) described Jared Cook’s play in Tennessee, where he was drafted (ironically, with a pick traded to them by the Patriots): “They (the Titans) promptly spent the next four years bemoaning that the freak athlete they acquired couldn’t block and refused to play him more than half the time, which is why they’re the Titans.”

quote:

“For the most part, Cook’s production as a Ram falls in line with what he did for the Tennessee Titans. That would be fine except for the fact that the production hasn’t met the high price the Rams have paid him. Cook has also drawn criticism for his issues with drops and struggles as a blocker.”

quote:

So let’s put these two assesments together: a beast at the scouting combine, but sucks at blocking and doesn’t really play hard every snap, and also has the occasional case of the drops.

Do not want Owen Daniels for anything besides league minimum. That old fart probably can't even beat out Hill & Hooman.

roto summarized Daniels well-

Broncos released TE Owen Daniels.
The move saves the Broncos $2.5 million against the cap. This was a no-brainer move. Daniels just wrapped up his age-33 season and has looked close to the end of the line much of the past couple seasons. It's an especially bad sign for Daniels' NFL future that the only head coach he's ever known -- Gary Kubiak -- has now released him. After winning the Super Bowl, it wouldn't be a surprise to see Daniels hang 'em up and call it a career. Mar 8
