With all the negative crap being thrown onto this team, people are failing to pay attention to the greatness that is developing. To date, Swann has been our best secondary player, and he is a 5th round rookie. QBs have been picking on him, and he has made them look silly on a number of plays.

Breaux has been a beast as well, regardless of that one silly gif making its rounds. He's a very physical player who has not been playing under the silly NFL rules. This means he requires time to adjust to the limited contact crap, and he will become great.

With Lewis in the mix for a few years, this secondary is shaping up to be lights out. Factor in the budding superstar Kikaha and the resurging Jordan, this defense is working out to be a fierce unit.

Instead of bitching about our losses and claiming an 0-16 slate is ahead of us, try paying attention and seeing that this team is moving in the right direction. This is a VERY young football team, and they have been on the cusp of winning against the best team in the NFC (Arizona) and the best in the division. By midseason, this will be a very tough team to beat

What about the arse beating we took from TB in the dome?

This team is a joke as long as Rob Ryan has a part in it.

silly like my calling pre-draft we would pick Grayson in the 3rd round? remember that? you should, because your embarrassingly failed attempt at ridicule was on display then as it is here.

so tell me, what is my definition of superstar (considering I never supplied you with that)?

I think Swann will become a very solid player but Breaux is near his ceiling most likely.

This had nothing to do with the subject at hand.

As long as Rob Ryan is here nobody is going to be a superstar on that defense. He's 100% clueless how to adjust his scheme to player strengths. Browner and how he used Byrd last year are good examples. Browner is usually left on an island without any help over the top and it's a horrible decision with barely any pass rush and a slow CB who probably runs a 4.6 if that.

Or trying to anoint what is our #3 and #4 corners as future superstars. Superstars? Really? Could have said solid football players, but superstars? Like Revis and Sherman good? LOL okay.

Factor in the budding superstar Kikaha

We have an awful lot of superstars on this 0-3 team. Kikaha is going to be damn good, but calm down.

seeing that this team is moving in the right direction

Only took us failing in the draft and free agency for several offseasons to start moving in the right direction.

There's a great chance we will be win-less by mid season.

I'm all about positive spins but this hits on delusion a bit. I'll take an average defense.

This team has some young players with a future. But heading in the right direction would not describe our play right now.
Did we play better without Brees? Yes we did. I'm not sure what direction this takes us.

Not sure what kikaha has done to warrant talk of superstar?

Superstars don't get stonewall ed regularly when they Dont get the jump

At this point I'd be willing to try out Swann as a starter and move Browner to nickel. However, it seems Keenan is returning so that point is moot.

Jordan is average at best. Breaux hasn't set the world on fire either. this defence needs a complete overhaul even to compete....Same for the offensive line and WR's

I agree with some of your points however I'm skeptical of how great a player will be in the future based off their rookie success with the Saints. In particular on the defensive side of the ball with this staff. We have seen many rookie defenders be great only to regress as years go by. It's almost like the system takes away their instincts.

Cam doesn't have the sack numbers, which we all wish he would, but he's been pretty good everywhere else.

Outside of the couple of penalties vs the Cardinals, and the one lost play vs. the Bucs, Breaux has been pretty damn solid.

That would be a terrible decision. You typically put smaller faster Dbs over the slot.
