@ESPNStatsInfo

Drew Brees has averaged 4.82 air yards on his passes so far this season. That's his lowest through 2 games as a member of the Saints, and it's the lowest by any QB through 2 games since Brett Favre in 2009.

4.82 yards in the air...

I'll take it. Favre should have beat us in 2009 anyways

Reminds me of Vinny Testaverde last season with cowboys. He was like 45 but Brees isn’t that much younger.

People keep pointing to his arm strength, but there is something bigger going on.

Brees isn't seeing the play downfield. He's so uncomfortable (needlessly) that he's to his checkdown before WRs get to their route downfield.

I honestly think he doesn't trust his receivers.
He adjusted Sanders at the line on a couple plays.

On one play it looked like receivers ran routes into each other.

But yeah his arm looks pretty bad too.

This was really evident last night. We showed last year we can survive without the deep ball, but if he's showing decline with the short to intermediate accuracy then we're really in trouble.

His throw to Cook on the push off was a fricking 60 yard rainbow that traveled 18 yards. If you can't put that one on a rope, you can't throw.
