Exactly, and that’s why he came out running with his helmet on.

That ligament is torn ... I did the same thing playing football. Felt jammed, I played tried to shake it off, but as it got stiff, my hand was unusable. Just like Drew, my thumb had no stability when the ER doctor was working on it.

Same here. It’s one of the worst injuries I’ve ever had. I still to this day have issues with both of my thumbs.

I’m thinking 6-8 weeks

Brees is done and so is our season. Just like that.

That’s why last year was our chance. That’s why it’s so hard to win in the NFL

Thumb break are fracture is not a career ending injury even for a 40 year old. It can take some time to heal, so bringing him back with no playoff chance is not smart. Give him another go next year.

Public Service Announcement to all Veterans of UCL surgery:

Nobody cares. Whatever the injury is, Brees will have the greatest medical care on earth, and his recovery won't be hindered, like yours was, from sitting at a computer and jerking it 8 hours a day. Thank you for your service.

Do you know what bluffing is? I don’t think you do.

Let me explain

quote:

Coming out with no helmet or carrying his helmet would be admitting defeat for Drew something he wasn’t going to do.

So
quote:

that’s why he came out running with his helmet on.

I get it. You’re from Thibodaux.

Re-read your post in the morning and they will make more sense.

Why don’t you re-read the part where you believed they didn’t put a splint on a broken thumb because they bluffed the Rams for a total of about 4 seconds so they couldn’t prepare for TB, then I said he never touched his helmet again AFTER he ran out, and see how dumb you look in this thread

I’ve had this injury. Obviously I’m not Brees or in his universe.

That said, it took months before I had any strength in my grip and years before the pain went away completely. My grip is still about 60 percent of what it was.

Obviously he’ll get better treatment but this is bad

They didn’t want to make people believe it was worse than what it was, whether they knew or not.

That’s not hard to understand

A break would be better than ligament damage.

I tore ligaments playing basketball when the ball bent my thumb back.

Turned my entire web of my palm black and blue for weeks. Was incredibly painful. Brees is a fricking man for just standing there with that. I was wincing like a bitch
