So says I and so says this guy.

He should easily pass Brady in all, given the same number of years.

Tom Brady...10yrs...30,844yds...225td...99int...
93.3rating
Drew Brees...9yrs...30,646yds...202td...110int...
91.9rating

quote:

Brees can absolutely keep this roll going. He has the talent, the smarts, and the work ethic to be everything that Manning and Brady have been during this decade.

Does that count the year Brady missed with the torn ACL?

Right now maybe not a lock, but he will be for sure now. Brady will get in b/c of his rings,also.... SAD to say but that's how it's measured.....

:dunno:

the best thing is his work ethic....he should eventually reach the point where he is close to the best possible qb he can be.

A MVP would seal the deal.

All things being equal, I think he'll get the benefit of the doubt next time over Peyton.

i posted this on the super bowl board:

drew has averaged 4,574 yards and 30.4 TDs per year in new orleans

lets be conservative and assume he doesnt keep up those ungodly numbers for 5 more years, and say 4,200 yards and 25 TDs for 5 more years

thats will put him at 51,646 yards and 327 TDs

currently, that would rank him 3rd all time in yards and 5th in TDs...i should also mention that no other active player except for peyton manning and tom brady would challenge those numbers in the near future

add in a possible mvp or 2 and hopefully another super bowl or 2, that definitely = HOF

Drew would be 4th all time in that scenario... Peyton is a lock to eclipse that unless his huge head falls off.

ah youre right

and he and brady will be in a battle the rest of the way for the higher rankings...either way, top 5 in both = HOF

With all do respect to Rickey Jackson, if he made it to the HOF, Drew is a lock. I know it's kinda like comparing appleas and oranges, but Drew has obviously had a greater impact on the game than Rickey.

Drew Brees should be 17th all time this time next year. Maybe 18th.
