Drew Brees (torn plantar fascia) does not need surgery on his right foot.
Brees played through the issue for the final two weeks of the season, but visited foot specialist Dr. Robert Anderson earlier this week. He reportedly recommended 4-6 weeks of rest. Brees will be ready for the Saints' offseason program.

What he needs is to not heal from that.

He hasn't thrown an interception since the injury.

They rarely require surgery. I had this happen twice.
Best thing in most cases is to stretch often throughout the day and wear a support boot while sleeping to keep the foot at a 90 degree angle.

Good he just needs some R&R and another lineman or 2 and one more badass WR to throw to, and he will be back.
