Brees at 50% is still better than a 100% McCown & 100% Grayson

Brees will play and Saints will win.

Also, it would be nice if we still had Jimmy Graham for Brees to be able to throw short dink and dunks to him since his arm is hurt.

It be real nice if we had gone all in on the offensive line.

Or drafted a receiver if we had to trade stills

It's a little early for drinking.

And if this was the final game of the season I'd go with Brees. It's a long season and Brees needs to get healthy.

If we lose to Carolina, then it might as well be the last game of the season because the season will be all but over.

Not when the defense knows the playbook is limited to throws under 35 yards.

What's happening to this board? I can't tell if this is a real thread or if I'm in a bad dream.

If Brees is 50%, you play McCown. If Brees aggravates the injury, then he's 0% and we're really screwed.

It's week 3 people, you play to win no matter what. Very easy to spot the 2006 band wagon fans.

I'm told @drewbrees believes there's "reasonable possibility'' he overcomes rotator cuff injury to play. Dr. Andrews told him to rehab hard

Not if he risks furthering the injury.

You're flat out wrong. Read the gospel of Winston from the other thread:

Disagree. If the Panthers know he can't throw outs or deep seams we'll be incredibly easy to shut down. It's like having 2 extra safeties in the game. Brees isn't that much better than McCown - I don't think that even a healthy Brady or Rodgers is that much better than McCown.

Yep - and this includes outs, not just down-the-field seam passes.

Basically Brees will only have slants, bubble screens, RB screens, and curls as his option. The worst defense in the NFL could hold us to under 17 points in that scenario.

Plus you risk further injury, etc. etc. We all know this and we'll have to suffer through it b/c deep down we know that Brees is too stubborn and selfish and CSP is to stubborn to make the right decision. He'll go down with the ship just like Haslett did with Brooks.

Has everybody gone mad?

IF A QB AND OFFENSE ARE LIMITED TO SLANTS, SCREENS, AND CURLS the worst 2nd string QB running the full offense would be better than Aaron Rodgerrs running the dink shite (if the defense realizes that's all he can do).

If an NFL defense has a full week to prepare for an injured QB knowing that he can't throw the ball further than 35 yards, that offense has literally no chance. That's what I'm saying. They will stack the box, roll the safeties in and there will be no oxygen for the offense.

I'm so annoyed with the lot of you - I'm out.

So we went 0-2 and played poorly with a healthy Brees. Now, with an injured Brees we are going to beat the Panthers away?

LOL okay.
