I think Cooks would excel as a #2 WR with a reliable #1. Yes, Cooks can play the #1 but the question is should he really have to? It's just unreal we haven't gotten Drew anywhere close to the targets when Graham was last here.

I really don't understand why fans get hung up on numbers like this.

Cooks, Snead, and Thomas is the best receiver corps Brees has had in years.

Yeah, I think you're right. And Lewis looks good too. Hopefully at TE, Fleener can perform well. But it isn't going to matter if the OL doesn't play better. Without a running game, defenses will be able to tee off on Brees and he will get killed. The Saints have made some good moves in free agency and made some nice draft selections, but it's inexplicable why they've failed to address glaring o-line weaknesses in either the draft or free agency. I guess they tried w/ Peat, but that was a poor decision. (And of course, La'el Collins ... shite that still really pisses me off). But this year they could've taken an o-lineman in the 4th round (like Westerman, I think) but didn't. I can't see how they can go into the regular season w/ this offensive line.

I agree that this corps has potential. But it's too early to crown Thomas.

Agree with Hoodoo... He's a great receiver, getting hung up on whether he's a #1 or a #2 is meaningless, middle-of-the-day on ESPN made up sports pundit crap.
