The ref is even staring at it.

That is conclusive from that angle. Unfortunately, the billion dollar NFL enterprise had nothing close to that angle. Sitting in my chair, when they showed it from the shitty angle they had, I thought it was incomplete.

People were outraged that DA challenged it, but I felt like it was really close. This kinda confirms it.

Yeah... it's all about angles

Given the shots available to the referee, Tolbert... even had it been ruled a TD on the field... I would say it was likely to get overturned to incomplete pass out of bounds

That's how the video angles looked

his right hand is not on the ball in the pic.

it was damn close, but I feel the review to not overturn was correct.

He didn’t have possession til the knee was out. Right hand isn’t secured, ball is on his shoulder pad on the left and unsecured there as well

You can see it in the live video

Still a good challenge

Why did they say no TD? Didn't have control?

It was a TD

Great call and execution by everyone involved

The only excuse is he didn’t have possession before his knee slid out

Great play

Great through

Great catch

Don’t think he had possession yet honestly. Right hand isn’t even on the ball in that shot yet.

I don't think we had the luxury of that angle.

I’m not beating up nfl for that
The replays they showed during broadcast weren’t conclusive

It's amazing how deadly accurate a NFL has to be.

I know I’m going to get downvotes, but the ball is still in the air in that photo. Look at his right hand.

It was close but it wasn't a TD. In this picture alone you can tell the ball isn't even touching his right hand. He was sliding and 4 inches away from out of bounds line and still hasn't even caught the ball. They made correct call

Once the ball is trapped it's a catch. You don't have to secure it with two hands. I think it's a catch.

Also, those kind of catches should be ruled a catch and THEN overturned by video if not. The tie should go to the runner, so to speak. The NFL is too quick to take away a tremendous reception.

Yep. I said it before the season and put my money where my mouth is.

Traded for him in a dynasty and drafted (and started) him in 2 redrafts.

His right hand isn’t even on the ball. A still picture does no good he didn’t have control yet. Officials were awful though. The Carr incompletion that was upheld was 10000% a fumble lol

As a still photo, it looks pretty bad. On video, the ball is moving and its not secured until he's out of bounds. The call on the field was correct.
