Watching this Steelers defense -- Bud Dupree, Jarvis Jones. Could have been Saints.

Assuming we have 7 picks next draft, we need 1 WR, 3 Oline, and 3 Dline

QB: We won't get another QB, Brees will get an extension in the offseason and we'll roll with McCown/Grayson at back up

RB: In theory we shouldn't need any. Ingram has been playing as well as he can behind our terrible o-line. Payton has got to find a way to get Spiller more involved, unless there is an attitude/off field issue he will be back. Khiry could be back unless another team throws starter money his way, but no other team should want to do that with his injuries in a part time roll there is no way he could survive being a feature back. Murphy is still developing.

WR: I agree 4, Cooks & Snead are obvious locks but after that everything needs to be upgraded. We need a true #1 with some height, or that just at least plays bigger than his actual size.

O-line: 2 guards, Lelito/kelemete can be back as backups only. Armstead/Peat will be our tackles, & Unger our center

CB: 4, Breaux/Lewis are the only ones that should be guaranteed a spot next year. We need a true #1, Breaux shows flashes but isn't consistent enough, and Lewis another year older with another injury

LB: 2/3 depending on what kind of defense we want to run. If we run 4-3 then we need 2 OLB's (Kikaha is 3-4 OLB), if we run 3-4 then we need another ILB & OLB, maybe Tull can step up

D-line: Need a run stuffer as well as edge rusher

We have several holes on this team, we will have to hit better on our FA's, and hit on our draft picks again like we did last year to make a run next year. We are currently I think $4M over the cap, which while bad but is still better than we have been the last 2 years I believe, but it still hard to get that many pieces with such a tight cap. Brees will have to be signed to an extension or released/traded to have any chance. Browner should be cut, even if we pay him $4M we will still save like $1M

Everyone ever drafted that was not drafted by the Saints could have been a Saint.

That may be the best cap situation we've had w/ the SP & ML regime. If true, we would be able to get under the cap without a problem. All offseason they said they would restructure/extended Brees this year. So, his number will go down drastically. There are a handful of players w/ roster bonus that can be spread (notably $6M for Jordan & $2.25M for Browner). Releasing Hawthorne saves us over $2M, Colston release/retire/restructure could save another $3M

We don't. We sent the Redskins our 2016 6th round selection to move back into round 5 to select Damian Swann.

FUUUCKKKK. I wish I could disagree with you but you are possibly being too optimistic. We might as well just start over.

This is why the Saints are in the position they are in. They give up picks instead of acquire picks and over draft everyone. Not hitting on first and 2nd rounders, giving two picks up for mediocre talent.

They say CSP want to move on, any GM that knows football can see that he should only be allowed to Coach. Loomis is a numbers guy, so this team is all his.

Word. Go back and look at the talent available when they took Stanley Jean Baptiste. And also look at who was available when they selected Khari Fortt, Ronald Powell, Vinnie Sunseri, and Tavon Rooks.
