I have to say...I like the individual players Carolina selected. I would have LOVED to see what McCaffrey or Samuel would have done in our offense (but I have a good feeling Kamara will have made me forget that by the end of the season), but I'm not really sold on their talents meshing with those of Newton. Sure, you can say they'll modify what they've always done on offense (run, run, play action downfield, run, QB keeper, QB scramble, etc.) to take advantage of McCaffrey and Samuel's specific skills, but it's still gonna run through Newton and his skills. Not to mention that the two additions sort seem to be destined for roles with a whole lot of overlap.

Speaking of overlap, is it just me, or did Atlanta just draft a guy who fills the same role as a guy they drafted last year...only not quite as well?
