They ain't going to the playoffs, all we are doing is screwing up our good draft position.

Minnesota and a couple teams have to lose out and we would have to win out so its not very likely. Even as shitty as we have played at times this year we were a couple of those bullshite loses away from the playoffs and had an opportunity to beat the #1 sead twice and choked both times

Seattle has the Browns, Rams, and Cardinals.

:itsnothappening:

Minnesota has the Bears, Giants, and Packers. Little better odds but still a longshot.

Well think about it if you're a middle of the road team that's on the fringes of the playoffs or a wild card team the overall big picture success of your franchise doesn't really hinge on a big time draft pick. You upgrade by default with experience, cohesion, and individual training and development in offseason. And if you have 1-2 glaring needs (Playmaker WR/Pass rush for the Saints) the draft gives you several rounds to grab some rookies and what you can't get there, you deal for in free agency. I don't buy this whole idea that the Saints are blowing their draft position- where would you rather be? A trainwreck of a franchise who needs a top ten pick in the draft and you're still 1-2 years away? Or a team that's less than a year and a move or two away? A top ten draft pick is not going to redefine this team going forward, its going to take effort from EVERYONE individually and collectively and a will to get better across the board. Hopefully coaching is making that a priority day to day game to game.

I wish we were mathematically out. Bc I'd tell you how it would play out. Minnesota and Seahawks lose Out, we get in a win and you're in situation and Browner somehow derails the whole thing.

LOL, true. Or we run the table, the Vikings implode, the Browns and Rams upset the Seahawks, and the Seahawks-Cardinals game gets flexed to Sunday night. We go into that game with a Cardinals win being all we need, and the Cardinals are playing for the 1 seed. The game goes to overtime and the Seahawks win on a fluke play like in the Arkansas-Ole Miss game.

Provided Seattle and/or Minnesota loses out and the Saints win out:

Minnesota would finish 8-8 with 5 NFC wins. New Orleans would finish 8-8 with 6 NFC wins, to pick up the 2nd wild card spot. Seattle would finish 8-8 and would also have 6 NFC wins at which point I think it goes to the division.

Still in all

Tampa Bay is only allowed to win 1 more to finish 7-9. If Tampa Bay and New Orleans finish 8-8, the Saints and the Bucs split but the Bucs will have 7 NFC wins while the Saints will have 6.

If the cowboys beat the packers then we have to win out and have one of the 3 happen

Packers loose out
Seattle lose out
Or vikings lose out

All have 2 hard games left but 1 pretty easy one.

Not very good odds but yes...im saying there is a chance

Assuming the Saints win out, the only way they lose a tiebreaker to Tampa is if the Bucs beat Carolina in week 17

We're done. We're just pissing away a great draft pick at this point.

At least we beat Tampa in a meaningless game, again.
