Agreed.
He and Drew want to make one more run at it here.

Rapoport has been obnoxious today on Twitter.

It isn't just today. He has some kind of Saints-related "hot take" every Sunday morning. I'm not a media conspiracy theory guy, but he seems to have something against the Saints/Payton.

Glazer said Saints would look to receive a 2nd round pick. Bradshaw said a 2nd round pick would be good and the Saints should do it.

For just a 2nd round pick? I'd be livid.

Glazer is pretty tight with Payton, so I doubt that he's trolling.

I'm not a huge Payton fan right now, so I don't mind trading him, but I'd hold out for a bit more than a 2nd. The "OMG TWO FIRST ROUNDERS" crowd were never being realistic, though.

For the Colts, a 2nd and Moncrief would be pretty solid. Tough to gauge how much they value him.

Agree with you there.

Glazer said Colts and 49ers would be the front runners. Could see 49ers giving up a high 2nd and Colts giving up their 1st.

One first rounder would be realistic.

I was never even remotely worried until I saw Glazer commenting on it.

Now I'm worried. Glazer is Payton's boy.

Could just be Payton's agent trying to gain more power for him or something.

But a 2nd rounder. Lol?

Been saying for months now Saban is done at Bama if he wins a 4th. I truly think he's the next coach at Indy. I could be wrong, but I really think this story has legs

You don't think Saban wants to surpass Bear Bryant first?

would not be sad to see saban at Indy, but I dont see it. The melt here would be apocalyptic.

No, the stories of Nick being fed up with the delusional gumps are too frequent to be just rumors. They expect 15-0 Nattys every year. Do you remember Saban after the Ole Piss loss? He was fed up and most of his pressers seemed directed at the fanbase. I really think he's out after this year

Yeah but that's also a argument for sticking it out and winning onemore so he can shove it in the face of the purists. But I know nothing so you're probably right

Just think he's had limit. Been to any games in T-town before? Those inbreads are over the top. Naming their sons Bear and their daughters Saban. The tattoos and the fan day circus reactions. It just seems like one can only take so much

I've never been.

Never going either. The rumors are enough for me.
Can't imagine living and working there. Hopefully he's had enough.

No never been but I can imagine. Remember that cast member from Deliverance who killed that ancient oak tree on the Auburn campus with poison? I mean really?

You're right. These guys today wouldn't know what journalistic credibility was if it tap danced in front of them announcing what it was. They could care less because the majority don't want the truth. They want rumor TMZ style. Every outlet is providing that now.

i think this will be similar to the Jimmy Graham trade. The Saints want to see what the value of Payton is. If they get an offer thats too good to be true, they take it. If not, they sit down with Payton and figure out moving forward and getting back on track.

So there needs to be smoke for the Saints to field offers.
