I remember watching the pile and thinking OMG, you gotta be fricken kidding. Did this really just happen? Standing in anticipation in front of the TV with my arm out signaling Saints 1st Down. Kissing my wife when Reis came away with the ball. Just wanted to share a moment that I will never forget.

AMBUSH

I had just fixed something to drink and was about to sit down. Don't think the drink survived.

Absolutely, I'm sure a lot of people do.

I know I do for sure.

Does anybody else get a little mad that we've only made ONE Conference Championship game with Drew Brees as our QB since 2007 when the following QB's have made more than that (including Mark Sanchez with 2)?

Brady 5
P Manning 3
Flacco 3
Roethlisberger 2
Sanchez 2
Favre 2 (retired after 2010)
E Manning 2
Rodgers 2
Kaepernick 2
Wilson 2

Seems like so many missed opportunities

My jaw dropped wide open, with both hands on my head.....I yelled "what the f$ck did we do that for?". Promptly followed by a "holy $hit it worked!"

Guess that's why i sit and watch from home.

It was the best....it lead to the first and only Championship.

Why are you not counting the 06 season when we did make it to the NFC championship? Which makes it 2 like Sanchez.

I called it before it happened. My dad said I was nuts. Then I was all "in ya face!"

But no one ever believes me. Send email to alatgrsdad@frickyou.com for verification.

Same here but I called it because I heard it on the radio during pregame that the team was emphazing onside kicks during the practices

I know Reis was awarded the recovery but does anyone know what the refs saw at the bottom of that scrum? On the replay it looked like Baskett and Casillas both jumpped on the ball (on Reis's leg) before the pileup. Was it a tie between all three players? Wouldn't a tie normally go to the recieving team? Or does a tie go the player who touched the ball first?
