The thing is before Allen, A'Shawn Robinson, and Jarren Reed Bama didn't even have All-SEC DL besides Dareus and Cody. In fact the only other DL to have double digit sacks seasons since 2008 at Bama is Allen. His career stat line blows even Dareus's numbers out the water.

Disregard the ignorance. Allen will go top 5 when it's all said and done if he keeps it up.

Actually I was being sarcastic, Allen is pretty good. The "Mama" thing I saw somewhere else on the site l, I thought it was pretty funny.

Allen, Humphrey, or Williams from Alabama would help out tremendously. Peppers from Michigan might be in play

Fat guys from Bama don't always translate well to the NFL.

You can say that about any sized group of guys from any school.

Besides Dareus name one Mama Dlineman that has produced in the NFL.

Hmm. Not really sure what you're getting at, or how any past players from bama have an impact on the kind of player that Allen is. To humor you though, Mark Anderson and Wallace Gilberry had/have productive careers. You've already mentioned Dareus. Upshaw started for several years in Baltimore, including on a defense that won a Super Bowl (actually forced a fumble in that game). He plays a lot in Atlanta now. Robinson and Reed are playing pretty well for rookies. Quinton Dial starts in San Fran and just signed a new contract. That's just guys from the last decade off the top of my head. I'm sure you're not biased against Alabama or anything, I'm just answering your question

I was being sarcastic like I said in my previous post. I'll play along though, none of the guys that you've mentioned have been world beaters as pros. Dareus had a nice start, but has failed to produce as of late. He really looks below his billing when Kyle Williams has been hurt as well. The rookies can't be judged right now so Reed and Robinson get passes. Upshaw was never a true down lineman school or pros, so he's disqualified. Dial was a spot holder until the 49ers top draft pick caught on to the defensive scheme and Gilberry/Anderson...really??? I'd take Allen all day, Lacey, Julio, and Cooper are the best of show so far for Alabama pros. I'd also take either one of those guys on my team in a heartbeat.

Well that's not true. He played with his hand in the dirt 95% of the time at Alabama. Played defensive end in Baltimore, and plays defensive tackle in Atlanta

Dial has been a starter for 2 1/2 years now, and currently starts on the end opposite armstead, so wrong again.

Gilberry/Anderson...really???

Anderson had 12 sacks in his rookie season. Gilberry has played in 14 or more games for 7 seasons. Not world beaters, but you don't do that in the NFL by being a scrub.

There's quite a few Alabama players doing very well in the pros outside of these guys. Dont'a Hightower, CJ Mosley, Landon Collins, Clinton-Dix, Jalston Fowler...don't let a good bias get in the way of reality though

Obviously you don't know much about being a Rush linebacker or the infamous nick saban "jack lb position". The guy has been listed as a linebacker for his last 3 team's collegiate and professional.

So dial starting because of injuries the last two years means that he "earned" his spot as a starter? I follow the niners so let's not go there. He's a spot holder dude, they are drafting for starters, if it weren't for Ian Williams and Dorsey's injuries he'd be coming off of the bench.

Anderson looked like something special and lost the fire afterwards, Gilberry is even worse than using Anderson as an example of productivity from Alabama dlinemen.

I'll give you Hightower and Mosely is coming around. The rest of those guys are still question marks. I'll always root for Louisiana boys in the PROS though (Lacey and Landon Collins)

What?

If a guy is listed as a tackle, and he's playing guard, is he playing guard or tackle? Damn man. That's elementary stuff. If you're playing with your hand down, and you're a lineman, then you are playing as down lineman. Doesn't matter what your position says in the media guide. As I mentioned earlier he plays defensive tackle now

What? Dorsey has been healthy this year and hasn't started a game. Dial and Williams started every game last year, Dial has started every game this year, Williams is released.

Fowler is the best fullback in the NFL.

Landon Collins leads the Giants in tackles, sacks, and interceptions. Wondering how much football you watch outside of the saints

Jeez you are starting to make me think you're slow upshaw also dropped back in coverage from a 3 point stance at times....he's a linebacker, has always been.

Williams was cut two days ago because of his injury, Dorsey has been limited since training camp. Keep em coming....

As far as Landon goes, I'm in his corner unless he's playing against his hometown team.
But, his sample size as of now means nothing. Look at the difference between Vaccaro from year to year.
