To get 2nd and 3rds you need to trade down. To get into bottom half of the 4th it would take around 2 5ths and a 6th. I'm not considering trading future picks.

Target a move with Jacksonville. Move from pick 14 to 17 in the first round.

Try and get picks 96 in the third and our traded pick 116 back from them for making the move.

See if we could get pick 28 and maybe a 3rd or 4th rounder as compensation from Buffalo for for Lattimore.

Buffalo is desperate for a starting CB. Lattimore fits the bill when he is healthy.

Mock draft simulators on PFF says this trade would likely go through with additional late round picks.

If all I can get for Lattimore is a 3rd round pick, and he is still in his prime, and his salary is actually comparatively low the next two seasons, there is no damn way I am trading him.

Lattimore is our only tradable asset. And I said pick 28 in the first round and maybe a 3rd pick also.

This shite is why the Saints remain one of the oldest rosters in the league... You have to build from the draft. Constantly trading picks away is what fricks up the salary cap.

I would bet my house, life, and daughter's life that we will not draft all draft picks at the same position we currently have. Those 5th round picks will be use to package with something else or by themselves to get us into the 3rd or 4th rounds. Book it.

It will be interesting to see if the QBs go early and OTs and DTs slide. I could see Rams, Jax, Bengals, Cowboys all moving up to get a guy they want.
