I'm assuming if the Rams are going to get a QB, that only helps the Saints.

We should definitely sit where we're at and not trade up. Our guy will be there at 12.

I don't think it effects the Saints much at all

I honestly don't know how much the Rams-Titans trade changes things for the Saints. Only way is if Lynch or another QB jumps to top 11.

I think this almost ensures that both Wentz and Goff go top 11, where before there's a chance that only one would go. If Wentz and Goff go 1-2, then that increases the chances that Lynch goes top 11. Crazier things have happened on draft night.

True. Only way it affects it is if Lynch sneaks in before us

Way to create an irrelevant thread.

The Rams paid that big of price to come up and take the QB the Browns wanted. There is no other reason why they would have made that trade. I think Cleveland settles on the 2nd QB (i.e. whoever LA doesn't take).

San Diego is throwing a party because they get to take whoever they feel is the overall best player in the draft. San Francisco just barfed because they know they are SOL on the top two QBs. I still think the 49ers take a QB (Lynch).

To me, this means the draft "starts" with Dallas at 4. As far as the Saints are concerned, "their guy" at 12 will likely still be there. However, it may bring someone who they thought would never be available (Bosa? Buckner? Jack?) much closer to them at 12 and provide an opportunity for a trade up.

Could open up SF as a trade up destination for many clubs. SF could trade down and get Lynch if they like him.

Definitely.

Jared Goff and Carson Wentz will both be gone top 5, which could force a team to jump up for Paxton Lynch. We already know that T Laremy Tunsil and possibly T Ronnie Stanley will be picked before us. On top of that, the Eagles are in love with Ezekiel Elliott and he could also go to the Giants. So, if all six of them go, Saints are looking at a top 6 pick basically.

I think it does. I think lynch is now a lock to be picked in the top 10 which will help keep some defenders on the board at 12. Especially if tunsil, Stanley and Elliot get picked top 10 as well.

Lynch is not a lock for top 10 at all.

Lynch is going first round. One of the Eagles and 49ers are going to draft him with their pick. Both are desperate for a QB. It's possible neither draft him but from what the analyst are saying you can figure one will get lynch and the other will wait and get cook later in the draft.

It doesn't help us at all really. The main beneficiaries from this are SD, DAL, JAX, and BAL. There were most likely to be 2 QBs taken before us regardelss (CLE @2, SF @7). Now there are still 2 QBs taken, just in a different order. The players available at 12 should be mostly unchanged.
