These are the newest addition to the 'Same Old Saints' family and possibly the most annoying. The diehard Pelican fans and bloggers are rightly incredibly excited about Anthony Davis, but it drives them crazy the Pelicans rank third behind the Saints and LSU football in New Orleans sports love.

Now that the Saints stink, the Pelicans can take their rightful place as new king of New Orleans sports, and New Orleans can become a basketball first city they say. So during games, as Saints fall apart, on Facebook and Twitter diehard Pelicans fans and bloggers talk about the new eras and how 'I'm not happy Saints are losing, but both teams can't be good at same time, so you should really start thinking about Pelicans basketball now instead of the awful Saints." At least be honest about your excitement over the Saints losing. We'd respect you more.

Diehard Pelican fan is like the creepy guy who hits on your mom at your dad's funeral and says, "Hey she's single now son. No sense waiting. I can be your new dad." How about you just be quiet and wait for Saints season to be over and not see the Saints failing as way to grow the Pelican fan base? New Orleans, as long as the Saints are here, will never be a basketball city. No city with football is a basketball first city, except maybe Miami.

Before you say Cleveland, if the Browns ever get an actual NFL team, that city will love football again. Diehard Pelican fans and bloggers are going to be so mad when the Saints have the #1 pick in next May's NFL Draft and Saints coverage blocks out the Pelicans' playoff run like the sun. And hey Pelican fans, maybe you shouldn't worry so much about the Saints stinking and getting more basketball fans as you should be about the sports storm cloud of Saints bad luck engulfing the breakable as peanut brittle Pelicans roster. Jrue Holiday is the Jairus Byrd of basketball and is going to be limited to 10 minutes a game for a while because he has the bone density of a 75-year-old woman.

Eric Gordon's knee is as reliable as a 5-year-old trying to make a bowl of cereal, Tyreke Evans never met a bad shot he could say no to, and there is a 30 percent chance the new coach is just a great assistant coach who fails every time he gets to be in charge. We Saints fans like the Pelicans, we hope they win; some of us even buy NBA League Pass to watch Anthony Davis, but please don't dance on the Saints' grave. Just be happy your team might be good.

The 'Same Old Saints' zombies are back. It's just another thing that makes bad Saints football such a horrible experience. My advice when they attack, tell them you love Sunday football even when it's terrible.
