When the Hornets kick off their pre-season home opener against the Charlotte Bobcats tonight at 7pm, listeners can continue to listen to SportsTalk with Bobby Hebert & Deke Bellavia …followed by Scoot on the BIG 870-AM…while NBA fans check out the Hornets on 105.3 WWL-FM. A choice! Great talk on our 50,000 watt clear signal AM / Hornets hoops on our 100,000 watt FM. And, after the Hornets post-game show…we’ll simulcast Scoot on both!
Now, here’s the best part, all of our great prime time talk shows will continue to be simulcast on the BIG 870 AND 105.3 WWL-FM. Dave Cohen; Tommy Tucker, Garland Robinette, Spud McConnell, SportsTalk with Bobby Hebert and Deke Bellavia will still be heard on both the AM and FM dial. This also includes Dave Ramsey overnights (12-4am) and Wall Street Journal This Morning (4-5am). And, when there’s no Hornets basketball or alternate play-by-play, you’ll catch Scoot on both stations.
There will also be other opportunities to expand our WWL programming menu. For example, Monday Night Football: starting Monday, October 15th, we’ll put the Monday night NFL games on 105.3 WWL-FM, while Scoot entertains the masses on the sky-wave on the BIG 870. And, Thursday nights at 8, on the BIG 8-70 you’ll hear Scoot…on 105.3 WWL-FM Hornets fans can hear “The Monty Williams Show” (starting Thursday, October 25th). A big station gets bigger!
Cliffs: Hornets games will be on 105.3FM only, while talk will remain on 870AM. The Monty Williams show will be on Thursdays at 8PM, starting 10/25.

Good enough for me.
As long as they advertise it and actually cover the team on 870, I'll be happy.
