cuzzin- 17pts/74%ft/9rbs/3assts/1blk/stls/ldr
cousins fits any system and can remain on the court in closing minutes. no hacking him.

d12- 17pts/49%ft/12rbs/1asst/2blks
d12 can jump and dunk but that shite will start fading in two years. then he wont be good for much.

Cousins is younger, more offensively skilled and doesn't have back and shoulder issues. He's also cheaper and doesn't rely solely on athleticism

May sound crazy, but with Davis on this team this is an easy answer... You take Cousins

He played some center this year. He was on my fantasy team. He spelled Tyler Zeller at times.

He was on your fantasy team. We need him. Now.

61% of his teams minutes at PF
2% of his teams minutes at C

And Howard is 27. He's still young. I didn't realize we were taking salary into consideration. If so then of course it's cousins

what i/ve been preaching all year. whoever signs d12 to a max may regret the final years. especially when the tax hits home.

You dont think Cousins is a better fit for this team?

I think some structure, familiar teammates, and a change of scenery would do him a whole lot of good...

I understand Howard is more proven, but his injuries and the fact that he still hasnt developed an elite post game with his size and athleticism concern me... Not saying he sucks, hes still an all-star.. just dont think the Pels situation fits him as good as it would Cousins

nobody. once he gets proper ownership/management/coaching, hell on everyone. he can face the rim and have the o ran through him. so can AD. cousins/AD........dream scenario.

A hypothetical Lopez + our first pick for Cousins would get us pretty close to having the money to outright sign Paul. I think it would have to be #1 or #2 for for Sacramento to even consider it, though.

ETA: And I would have losing him, but I would consider Ryno + the pick as well.

For our system... cousins... having 2 bigs who can hit from outside and open the lane is a winning formula. Not to mention he can pass to davis and is just smarter and younger than dwight... field goal % worries me though

i'ld give lopez & 2 1st's for cousins. thinking that the 2nd would be a shite pick cause it will be a late pick. sac would jump all over that shite knowing cousins wants out.
cant part with ryno though!! sorry.

Straight up as a player? No, Cousins would not be better than Howard for this team or any other team IMO. And I like Cousins. But he's basically the Brandon Jennings of centers (good player, but inefficient chucker). Is his offensive game really more advanced than Howard's? I'll take the guy who's going to score 20 at close to 60% scoring, while shooting less. I don't really care how they score it. I mean, Shaq bad the same O game as Howard.

People are shitting on Howard bc of one "bad" (he led the league in rebounds and scored 17ppg on 58% lol) season, yet he was still one of the top centers in the league. Lets not let an injury riddled season taint a career where the guy led the league in boards 5 of the past 6 years while blocking 2 shots a game. 20 PPG on like 60 shooting. Howard has numerous good years left.

AD and Howard would be so filthy. I'm talking front runners for the WC after FA and the draft.

kind of misleading. high fg % come from dunking and layups only. cuzzo shoots outside shots. its a plus.

All good points... Howard is the better player right now, and I dont think theres any doubt about that. I was going off of fit/cost

If all players are free in this hypo, Ill take Howard

Truth be told, us Pelican fans would walk around with constant semis if we were able to pull either one of these dudes

Howard is definitely better than Cousins, but I'm not even considering him as there's no chance he'll come here. If we make a good enough offer to the Kings, Cousins wouldn't have a choice.
