A legit, long SF that can bang down the 3.

An athletic 5 that can run the floor and anchor a defense.

I didn't see we would get Jeff Green in the deal too. I actually like yours a little now. My bad

I was wondering why people were focusing on Biyombo when Jeff Green would obviously be the centerpiece of that deal.

Biyombo would give you a C, Green would give you a scoring SF that can also play some PF, and Bass would provide great depth at the 4.

We obviously downgrade significantly at the 2, but get better at 3 and 5. Tough call, downgraded "top end talent" to get better elsewhere.

I still think Biyombo would be a steal in the long run but JGreen would definitely be awesome as a 3.

NO - gets Biyombo (3.2, 4), JGreen (8.7, 9.2), Bass (6.7, 6.9)
Charl - gets EGordon (14.2, 14.8, 15.5), [optional CLee (5.2, 5.4, 5.7)]
Boston gets - BGordon 13.2 exp, Detroit #1 in 2014

Any chance the other teams consider that? Would we?

If anyone says no it's the Pelicans because it'd kill their flexibility, and because Gordon is playing so much better than Tyreke for now. But that seems like a pretty realistic trade.

How confident would you be in Biyombos potential? I think this is his third year now and typically bigs make their jump in the third of fourth year. Havent seen much from him yet

Not confident, but he's better than what we have and could be good as a transition dunker and defensive presence next to Davis.

No point in discussing it really as fan trades rarely ever happen, and I thought it was an interesting proposal.

I like him a lot he has had I think 2 or 3 coaches in the past 3 years and if we would possibly fire Monty and get a offensive coach in George Karl who could work with his offensive game and possibly send him to Hakeem in the summers and work on his offensive game as well

Serious questions. Can you explain why? Is it the amount vs. perceived talent or is it the structure?

I think he will get better with more talent around him. He also needs to learn how to finish. He gets to the rim and throws up some stupid looking shots.

I've never liked him as a player and made that pretty well known. I was definitely in the minority on that one and backed off once we signed him because he was a Pelican.

I don't think he's that good. He doesn't really have a position, he is not a great shooter, and while he can handle the ball pretty well and slash, he's not that great at much else imo.

I also think we drastically overpaid.

But...I still hope he proves me wrong. Its only been 4 games.

This just isn't true. Sacramento wasn't going to let him walk for nothing, he'd have gotten at least $8 million per year from them meaning we paid at most $3 million more than the minimum Sac would have paid. Overpaying a guy $2-$3 million per year isn't what screws you, especially when Demps has proven capable of getting end of rotation guys pretty cheap.

That is the case. We couldn't have gotten him for less. Which means we shouldn't have gotten him at all.

Nah. This is incorrect. They were offering him over 8 per and were seriously considering matching the 11.

Sacramento was definitely begging for someone to do a S&T like we did, but that doesn't mean they wouldn't have resigned him if no one makes a deal. At the very least they'd have signed him to his one year tender offer which was around $7.5 IIRC. If you want to say we could have used the money more wisely on someone else I can agree with that, but I don't think we could have gotten Evans any cheaper than we did.
