My man looks motivated.

If that’s a real non photoshopped picture that’s real good.
Going into a season strong , in shape and healthy should help alleviate some of the other injuries that occured while he was playing trying to get into shape.

Let’s hope he doesn’t tweak something with no timetable again

Same ole 35 inch biceps, 55 inch waist and 290 pounds physique.
This is more of the same. Not anything to get overly hyped about imo. Coin flip at best if he stays healthy with that frame.

I am one of the biggest “Zion is fat” guys on this board.
But no…not same ole.
Sure, his midsection has some fat, but that dudes body is just going to have that there. Thats his build.
Look at his arms and neck. He’s fricking lean for his body. Do you know what weight Zion would have to get to not have a gut? I’m thinking like 215.

I took one of the team and didn’t renew my tickets this year. This team and Zion is putting it all together for an unforgettable run this year.

My car looks great but the tires don’t hold air and the engine keeps breaking.
Looks ain’t everything….

I 100% disagree….that is a 300lb man in that picture. Now having said that, it’s definitely not the worst he’s looked, he just looks a little too jacked and a little too thick.

He is definitely not lean, still a little too thick, but he is jacked. His arms looks especially bigger but we’ve seen him without a gut and that was at duke when he was probably 270.

I expect us to be top-3 in the West. The injury history of Zion and BI just indicates to me that they're due a healthy season.

Need to see that side view

He would’ve been fine last year, even with the hamstring at his weight + where he was at coming into the season. The problem is when he doesn’t play basketball, he doesn’t do anything but guzzle Dew and that’s when the problems arise.
The hamstring injury came up a week after he had COVID, and then, what happens? He doesn’t do anything, skips rehab, etc. then tries to go full boar and injures himself again and repeats the process.
If/when he gets hurt, he needs to do his best to maintain everything and not get up to 310 then try to smash the peddle down to get to 285 in two weeks.

He looks better, and if he plays 60 plus games this year, come playoff time he'll be a fricking monster in April/May

What do centers like Chet Holgrem and Wembanyana think when think this dude is rumbling down the lane towards them?

I really have no idea what some people want. Has everyone here seen footage of Zion in high school? He was “overweight” for a basketball player then. He has never been a shooter or a smooth ball handler. The reason that he was a phenom and the reason he was drafted #1 is he is an absolute freak, literally unlike anything seen before. He is built like a defensive end but he can fly and he has amazing touch. It is what has allowed him to do things that haven’t been done since Jordan early in his career.
I only see positives here. I don’t remember him being at the team facility working out in the off-season prior to this. I think he looks about as good as we could have hoped. He looks like he is ready to break most guys in half and we have to assume he is still going to be quicker than pretty much everyone who tries to guard him. In the first picture he is doing the very flexibility work that we have all been hoping for.
I’m not saying it’s all going to work out but these pictures are about as good as we are going to get in August. I’d bet he’s going to be about 10lbs lighter by media day. We need him to be freak Zion and he looks like he is well on his way.

Being jacked alone doesn’t make you vascular or give you shoulder striations. Gotta be lean.
