It's insane. I really wanted to discuss Rings of Power with other Tolkien fans, and it was completely impossible, as any thread that actually wanted to talk about the show would get spammed by people saying it was woke and that they wouldn't watch it. In other words, the people who wanted the watch the show couldn't even talk about it, because the resident self-appointed, anti-woke, thought police wouldn't allow it.
I eventually gave up.
