My issue with Holiday is the fact that he's not the player we thought we were getting when we saw him during his breakout season.

He's been reduced to a role player. More efficient but very transparent.

You barely notice him on the court and he does a poor job of getting to the stripe for such a high volume and ball dominant player.

His off ball ability is overstated. Yea.. He can catch and shoot but he stands around too much when the ball isn't in his hand.

With 2 ball dominant players on the court at the same time, it kills your flow due to the amount of dribbling they do. They just end up taking turns dribbling the ball and wasting time.

rue is meh to me. He's decent at everything... is he really that great of a defender? Does he lock down opposing PGs like Beverly?

Um yes he has...

cant we just call him a good player and stop sunshine pumping like we have an elite PG

I never said he was an elite PG

But I also think some of the board really underrates him.

I can see your part of the argument. Jrue does need to be more aggressive and should get to the line more than he does. When he is aggressive,He's fantastic and can take over games.

He also concentrates his energy more on defense(which he expels a lot of energy)

I mean there are other teams that start 2 ball dominant players but they haven't gotten the critque the pels have. I think it's partly due to the slow pace.

Jrue is a pretty damn good defender. Which guards are better than him? Beverly,Bradley, Westbrook, Tony Allen, and Bledsoe are the only ones that you could argue. So top 5-6 defendsive guards in the league i think that is pretty solid plus only Westbrook and maybe Bledsoe have better offensive games.Look at what Rondo did with out having Jrue out there. Rondo has been struggling greatly but had a great offensive night out there with a below average/average defender in Reke.

All i'm saying is that when Jrue and Tyreke are healthy and on the court, they don't look anything like they do when one of them is hurt, and i think you see the bigger difference when Jrue is out.
You can tell that when they are both on the court, they are not playing at their best.

I'd prefer Jrue stay and we get a decent scoring option at the 3 and/or center.
I'd prefer Tyreke if we found ourselves some more 3 point shooters at the 2 and 3, or a 4 that can hit a three and actually play defense.

Reke is a very good NBA player. Jrue is a very good NBA player. Why is everyone hell bent on only keeping one of these guys? This team needs all the assets it can get.

Reke causes a ton of heartburn for opposing coaches.

A good coach can make them work together. (FYI, Reke has NEVER been coached.) The Reke/Jrue dynamic is reason number one or two that Monty needs to hit the damn bricks.
