Not really.. Murphy is known to be mentally weak. At least JRE doesn’t get in his own head and will playing some fricking defense on the other end.

I agree. I’m not writing him off, but I’ll still argue he needed to be benched even if I think everything else Willie did was garbage.
Murphy gives you nothing else when he’s off, literally nothing. Very little effort on defense when he’s off which is even more concerning. That’s typically when basketball players overcome some of their offensive frustrations and play a little defense.
Murphy shuts down and clams up completely in every facet when his shot isn’t falling.

Bingo. He does not give you aggressive defense when his shot isn’t falling either. And if he’s not shooting the ball or playing defense how can you justify playing him?
At least Hawkins will keep shooting and will continue to give effort on defense.
Trey has insane defensive potential and we’ve seen it in spurts- especially when he’s hot and the team is in a groove. But when he’s off- he shuts down on defense and stops shooting.
Madness people here think he should have stayed in the game after watching that.
