I'd say getting the most minutes and showing something would be his best option. The Spurs were one of the 5 who inquired about him, he goes there he's not even getting the 12 mpg he got in Portland.

I didn't say he was useless I said he's in no position to expect to find a longterm home right now. He apparently wants to join a contender which makes no sense.

Maybe he realizes he's not going to be in the NBA for a long time and wants a championship oraybe he thinks he can showcase his skills with more publicity in the playoffs or maybe he thinks of he went to a good team he will look better and won't be asked to do too much and get a contract somewhere.

How was somebody like Boston not picked him up?

I said the exact same thing before I heard contenders were calling for him

all things being equal you can join a contender with little PF depth or the pelicans who's 2 PFs are going back in a month. its a no brainer. Join the contender with little depth

Yea, no reason for him to come here really. In a month(hopefully) he would be obsolete.

Yes.

Thomas Robinson - will he?

I think it's certainly worth looking our way if he wants to get playing time. Davis won't be back for a week or 2, so he likely starts a day or 2 after joining the team. Even assuming Davis is healthy, we could easily be out of the playoff race by the time Ryno is even in the realm of returning. At that point, they could feasibly just shut Ryno down given the nature of the injury.

I'd say he's looking for his best opportunity if he chose Brooklyn over contenders. Once AD and Anderson are back we're no longer a good opportunity for him.

Honestly, I am just surprised he didn't get more than a 10-day contract.
