I lurk here pretty hard, I have never posted, but I have some "insider info." My MIL and her fiancé just bought a house in Kenner that was under contract to Ajinca and he had to back out of the purchase because he is convinced he is being traded. Not going to pretend like I heard it from the horse's mouth but atleast it's something other then hey we suck.

He has no value and won't bring back anything worth while. He probably asked to be traded anyway since he can't get minutes.

Maybe Del sucking so bad for so long bought him one great move or maybe it's a positive spin on going to the d league or whatever, I have no clue just bringing a new tidbit of info for you guys to discuss.

Marco Belinelli was once traded for Julian Wright.

THAT Julian Wright.

Anyone can be traded.

He's a throw in piece to a trade. He's a 5th big on a deal that's maybe $1-$1.5 million too much now, but will be appropriate when the new CBA and higher minimums kick in next year.

I can understand why but I actually just met him a couple weeks ago, he's pretty cool. His chicken legs are absolutely disgusting to look at up close but he's still a pretty cool guy.

That makes a lot of sense. Sullinger is out for a while, he's on a similar sized one year deal, and Toronto has collected a ton of young prospects that can't get playing time on a top playoff team. They also have the Clippers pick. Yeah Frenchy ain't worth a 1st, but is Toronto desperate enough that they give up 5ish spots and swap it with our Philly pick? There's an added benefit to that in that they'll get a similar level talent on a cheaper deal.

ETA: They have a 21 year old Brazilian SF named Bruno Caboclo. 6'9 with a 7'7 wing span. He's spent most of his 3 years in Toronto being sent down to the DLeauge. His stats aren't great, doesn't look like a good shooter, but he did shoot 73% from the FT line, so maybe there's some Aminu level potential with him.

The fact that the Pelicans are allowing players to buy houses and live in fricking Kenner instead of the Warehouse District is why New Orleans is still perceived as a bottom 10 NBA destination for draft picks and free agents.

It is literally a crime to eschew the French Quarter, CBD, Warehouse District, or Garden District (all top 50 neighborhoods in any part of America) for Kenner.

WTF is this organization doing? Do they really wonder why no free agents want to live here when players still perceive Kenner as the place to live on a $3 million salary? WTF?

I'm pretty sure they drafted Bruno in the late first round and it came as a huge surpise, he was expected to be late 2nd round or undrafted. Their GM, Ujiri justifies the pick by saying they only wanted 2 players in the draft and the other was taken so they took who they wanted instead of trading down. I guess we could take him off their hands but if he's already spent 3 years in the d league I doubt he'll develop into much. Would still be worth getting rid of Ajinca though.
