Exactly, Splitter plays center, a position which NBA teams pay bank for, and gamble on every year, moreso than any other position.
Point is thiago splitter's contract is no surprise; only to the people on this board, is this a surprise.
Neither is Tyreke Evans.
Edit: you think Ryno has more value. The NBA thinks otherwise

Stretch 4s aren't that rare anymore. And I'm sure a lot of teams would argue a defensive center like Splitter is more valuable than a stretch 4.

Ryan Anderson is the best stretch 4 it's not even close. He's the definition of the position. Splitter isn't some overwhelming talent that is going to continue to get better he is most likely already hitting his ceiling. Thats a lot of money to pay Splitter the dude gets blocked all the time.

Dirk is 35 man. Ryan can hit some incredible shots just like Dirk, but I'm talking about the present obviously. And Kevin Love is good don't get me wrong, but I give the edge to Anderson; especially after you see what he will do next year with jrue/gordon/Evans dishing him the ball off drives. He shot so many contested shots last year because those around him weren't driving and dishing. Anderson is also a very good offensive rebounder that gets overlooked.

What's the value of this though? Seriously?
Guy can't defend, doesn't rebound well, but can knock down open 3s and he's tall. Dime a dozen?
ETA: Oh yea, and he isn't able to create his own shot.

He does rebound well 6.4 rpg and he really can shake the whole game up when he comes off the bench.
He may not be the best dribbler, but he can get a shot off at anytime with a defender right on him bc of his height. Did you watch any games last year he created a ton of shots off of nothing.

Hes a stretch 4 as in he doesn't play like a traditional power foward. The lineup completely changes when he comes in. What you want AD and Ryno to play the same way just because they are both power forwards?
